My musical journey started in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I was born and raised. My elementary school music teacher, Mr. Woody, told me I had a beautiful voice. His encouragement was what I needed to continuing singing all the time. Then as I got older I sang in chorus (S/O to Ms. Loomis and Ms. Barnard) and dappled in middle school accapella, jazz singing, and music theater. When I was thirteen, however, I started playing the piano. By the time I was in high school I was mainly singing and writing songs in practice rooms whenever I had the chance. I have been singing for 7 years, but before that I liked to act out plays and make up stories for my family. Last summer, I performed in front of is 500 people at Berklee College of Music. It was an incredible experience, because my friend Grace and I sang a song I had written while I played piano. We got a standing ovation. I think that since I’ve always been a little bit shy it is sometimes difficult for me to open up to people right away. To collaborate with other artists is how I connect with other people. It amazes me how one song can connect millions of people. Two years ago I started learning guitar and I also really enjoy writing to guitar although I am way more comfortable playing piano and singing. When I was a senior in high school I released an album "Lyon". "Lyon" has opened doors for me as a songwriter and as a performer. All of my released songs I wrote and I am learning how to produce at Berklee College of Music. My most recent single Bold is written by me and produced by Kyle Burke.
